Engine shed, Didcot Railway Centre (black and white version)
27/52

This shot was almost monochrome so I thought I'd try a black and white version.

It adds to the period feel, but you have to pretend that the chap walking beside the engine is scratching his ear and not talking on his mobile! :)

Engine shed, Didcot Railway Centre

This was actually a shot taken with my new Samsung Galaxy 4S. I am pleased with the camera, though I do need more practice to get the best out of it.

You were in Didcot? When? We are 20 mins away from Didcot.

We were actually staying in Oxford, but it was a flying visit. We arrived on the Friday, visited Didcot on Saturday, walked the Thames path from Oxford to Radley on Sunday and then came home. It was one of our weekend mini-breaks added onto a one day conference that G was attending.

I really like that! And at this size you can't tell he's on his phone.

Thanks. It's more obvious if you click through and view the large size, but I think even then it isn't too distracting.

It does look like an old pic from the fifties. I have been watching some British Transport Films from the age of steam,as my brother has rekindled my interest in the old chuffers.

We are far from railway nuts, but my husband has a fondness for old steam engines. As I'm old enough to remember steam trains from my youth, I'm happy to indulge his whims.
