It's raining, it's pouring...
I had planned to meet the children and grandchildren today, somewhere approximately half way between our house and theirs. However, the Daihatsu wasn't back from the garage (minor respray of lacquer stuff on bonnet to prevent rust) and anyway the forecast was for rain, so I cancelled.

I'm now glad I did because it's so gloomy it still feels like night time, even though it's almost 9 am and it's raining steadily. It's that heavy Welsh rain that says, "Brighten up? No chance! I can keep this up all day and oooooh look, sometimes I can make the rain go horizontal!" So instead, I'd better see if I can tackle some To-Dos and catch up with the house cleaning.

Been tipping down steadily for the past two days here too although it's ridiculously mild for the time of year!

It did dry up enough in the afternoon for me to nip into town to do a bit of shopping, but it's horribly grey and damp.

It's wet and gloomy here, too. The sort of morning when I pour myself a cup of coffee, put it down and lose it, and pour myself another one ...

Surprisingly, despite the gloom, I have managed to get quite a bit done. It even dried up enough in the afternoon for me to nip into town to do a bit of shopping, but it's still horribly grey and damp.

The lack of daylight is starting to be a problem. I nearly nodded off face first into the cornflakes twice this morning...

I would be emulating the Alice in Wonderland dormouse if it weren't for my lightbox. I sit in front of it for around 30 minutes each morning as I eat my breakfast.

It is supposed to rain here today too, even though it does not look like it. We are enjoying some sun right now but I think some gloom is coming, but not Welsh gloom and rain. That is the Moors right?

It was nasty here too but we have it only 4 km into town and we had to go as we hatd no milk, nearly no cold cuts and cheese and nothing for lunch tomorrow.
In the end it was not too bad and the best, not at all cold (17°C!!! in November)but we were happy to be back again. In the evening we have an invitation for a dinnerparty (Birthday) of an old (school)friend of mine where we have to go by car which will take us about 30 mins.

Enjoy your dinner party!
