It's still bloody raining!
This is getting beyond a joke. Other than feeling somewhat besieged by the constant rain, we're fine. I've got the dehumidifier running in the conservatory to stop the whole house feeling damp, but though the bottom of the garden is underwater yet again, there's absolutely no danger of us being flooded. The forecast suggests that there might be a brief respite on Sunday and Monday and I'm hoping to get out for a shopping trip, but otherwise we're just staying warm and dry indoors.

My heart goes out to the poor souls in the North of England who are taking the brunt of this abnormal bad weather.

Current Mood: frustrated frustrated

Here it is slightly raining since Christmas Eve but we have 5-12°C which is more than "wrong" for this time of the year. In the weathernews they said it woill stay this way minimum till New Years Eve.

As you say, the temperature is totally wrong. I'm not wearing a hat or gloves when I go outside and we hardly need the heating on in the house. Normally it would be just above freezing at this time of year, with night time temperatures perhaps just dipping below 0 degrees.

How awful all your rain! We heard about it on the news here also it is so bad. I am so sorry.

And here we are with snow running our humidifier.

I hope it lets up soon for you all!

We seem to have a bit of a lull in the weather and all the water has drained away from the wood beyond the bottom of our garden. I even caught a glimpse of blue sky between the grey clouds earlier.

Unfortunately the north of England is still suffering as the deluge makes its way downstream to places like York.

I hope it improves for you soon. We thankfully had a day off from the rain today, but it resumes tomorrow.

I even caught a glimpse of blue sky between the grey clouds earlier. Tomorrow is supposed to be reasonable too, but more rain and storms are forecast for Tuesday. :(
