It was a dark and story night...
It was a horribly stormy night even down here in town. One of the worst I've known in the 30 years we've lived here.

The big tree at the bottom of the garden has had a big branch torn off, but fortuitously it was a branch that I was planning to have removed anyway. The tree is actually a better shape now! Otherwise everything seems to have survived without damage and we didn't lose power. I do hope my friends living up in the mountains are OK though. It must have been terrifying in a more exposed location.

Current Mood: relieved relieved

Glad you escaped major damage and kept power!

The storm's still raging down here, and I haven't dared walk Max out in the forest. I'll be surprised if there are no trees down later.

I am getting seriously fed up of this weather. I can cope with rain by wrapping up well and then changing completely after a walk, but the relatively sheltered walks are lined with trees, with all the dangers that entails, and out in the open, the wind is just too strong.

It started beeing rather windy her too, it started after lunchtime. As I was in town by bike (3.5 km one way) and we had brunch buffet in a newly opend english café I felt it heavy on my way back.

Glad to hear you're safe - please stay that way - and that the storm actually did you a favor.

We're perfectly safe and the winds have dropped somewhat, but I'm getting seriously fed up of this weather.
