A parting of the ways
A parting of the ways

16/52 for the group 2016 Weekly Alphabet Challenge

This week's theme was: P is for Parting

Here the road parts. One lane becomes two. Which way would you take?

Some trees are just coming into leaf, but this one is a bit slow.

Current Mood: accomplished accomplished

The tree seems to be saying cross the painted line. Go left

Left will take you down a steep hill into the small town where I live. It's a good way to go at the end of a walk. :)

I love that! The lines of the tree echoing the road, and the grey of the road echoing the sky...

You're right! And I never noticed when I took the shot.

I like long walks! :o)

We'll be a lot closer to you once we're moved too!

I think I'd take the right. What about you?

What type of tree is it?

It would depend on how far I'd walked and how tired I was. Left will take you down a steep hill into the small town where I live. It's a good way to go at the end of a walk. Right take you a longer way, down to the river and a ruined abbey. I can still go home that way, but it's a lot further.

As to what tree it is, I'm afraid I don't know. I'll have to have another look when the leaves come out. There's a good chance it's an oak though.

Nice! I like the way the tree echoes the road.

Thanks! I didn't actually notice when I took the shot. Quite a bit of photographic composition is more or less unconscious as far as I'm concerned. It's only afterwards that I can sometimes work out why one shot works and another doesn't.

That is beautiful! I would bear right as that looks like the main road. Love that tree, ours, (most) are coming into full bloom here, our London Plane Sycamore in the front yard is a bit slower though.

It's difficult to say whether the right fork is more of a main road then the left on. That's how they've signed it with the road markings, but in practice they're both the same sort of narrow lane.

Left is the quickest way home for me. The road will take you down a steep hill into the small town where I live. The right fork takes you a longer way, down to the river and a ruined abbey. I can still go home that way, but it's a lot further.

Oh I see! OK, when I come surprise visit you, I will bear left, hee hee.
(Just kidding)!
Hugz,
