Yellow crane
49/52

We don't often see big cranes locally, though they're all over the place in the centres of big cities, especially London. So much so that coth has an ongoing photographic theme of cranes and posts many crane shot on Facebook.

However, there has been a reorganisation of the local schools and that involved some building work, hence the big yellow crane.

Yellow crane

P.S. This is another off-topic shot as the theme was supposed to be "wasted".

I really like that shot. I think we need more large yellow objects in the landscape, to replace the sun at this time of year...

It was just a quick phone shot and not easy because there were so many power and phone lines across the road. I don't know how small the crane folds up, but they must have had fun getting it into town and round the very steep and sharp bend at the bottom of the hill.

Hee! I haven't had my coffee yet ... I was halfway thru your post before I figured out you weren't talking about some kind of bird.

Ha, ha! Yes, it is confusing, though I don't think we have any of the bird cranes in the UK. Certainly not in Wales anyway.
