The old main road

14/52 for the group 2018 Weekly Alphabet Challenge

This week's theme was: N is for Nostalgia.

We went for a walk this morning and passed a disused bit of road that brought back feelings of nostalgia. This stretch was once was the main road between our town and the next one. It was also the site of the longest lasting temporary traffic lights. The "temporary" lights were there for 20 years, finally being switched off in 1999.

There is now a much straighter and rather wider road a bit lower down in the valley.
