This week's theme was: B is for Bright

After lots of gloomy days with low cloud, a rare bright January day. This is the road up to Cwt y Bugail quarry. The hill to the left is Manod.

It really does! We've been back to the grey gloom after that day, but even a bit of sunshine lifts the spirits.

A bit of sunshine makes all the difference. It's pretty bleak up there when it's raining and the cloud is right down.

This is a beautiful scene. I'm always surprised by how wild and remote your patch of Wales seems.

We're not known as Wild Wales for nothing! :) I do live on the southern edge of the most mountainous part and just to the north of the emptiest region, but this is why we get so many visitors who love walking, climbing and cycling.
