Other: I think my writing output would rocket if I could live permanently in a hotel. *g* I woke naturally, without the alarm, at about 7.15 am, made myself a cup of tea and realised that the next scene was itching to get out. 550 words later, I have set up the other impending disaster, the one the characters have been unaware of until now and Ceri and Wil have bought a pony. (They need transport for the final scene to work.)
For the first time in my life, I really feel as though I know what I'm doing with regard to selecting what to show and what to tell. I'm really liking the omni viewpoint too. It makes it much easier to skate over the dull stuff and concentrate on the most interesting scenes. Buying the pony had the potential to turn into the type of scene I now think of as the characters now choose the curtains. I don't think I've written about that here, so will try to do so later today.
But now I need to go and look for the dining room...
