You're supposed to tag someone else to do the challenge, but I'm not going to do that, either here on on Facebook. I'm also going to break the "rules" and say a little about why I've chosen each book.
Firstly, there are more from my youth than recent reads. I feel it's harder to fall in love with a book or series as a mature adult. When you're young, everything is new and fresh, even if it's not really.
Anyway, cover 1: "The Lord of the Rings". I first read "The Hobbit" at the age of around 9 or 10 when it was serialised in my comic "Princess". That would have been around 1961. It's difficult to believe now, but whilst I knew there was a sequel and that it was something about a ring, I didn't find LoTR until some 4 or 5 years later, when it started to become popular in the US. I saw an article in a magazine, realised it was the sequel to the story I'd loved as a child and rushed to the library to find it. It's a book I've re-read many times since.
