A better week

I don't know why I felt so down last week, but I seem to be back to normal now. I usually blame the weather, but it hasn't been very nice this week so far, so possibly it wasn't that. I have decided to step away from something that has been causing me stress. It's not going to be easy telling people I no longer want to attend the meetings, but I need to find a way to do it.

I have also abandoned the book I was reading (Early Riser by Jasper Fforde). It was interesting but rather weird. It also didn't have a strong plot, so I wasn't pulled along wanting to know what happens next. Instead I bought and started reading False Value, the latest Peter Grant novel by Ben Aaronovitch. I've already been sucked into the story, so I can still read fiction! I sometimes wonder if I've lost the knack because I give up on so many books these days.
