Late spring flowers

One of the women in the Welsh class is a bee-keeper and during the Wednesday morning chat last week she mentioned that we are coming to the end of the spring flowers but the summer ones are not yet flowering. This is a hungry gap for bees. As our spring seemed very early and everything flowered at once, I hope the summer flowers are available soon.

Anyway, here are the photos from days 2 and 3 of my photo-a-day in June project.

First the tutsan. These plants have self-seeded in the bare soil at the side of the house, but I've decided to let them stay as nothing else can really grow there and the flowers are pretty. I like the way the berry forms in the flower, looking almost like a pearl.

Wild rose snapped on my way into town.
