First steps in Italian

I'm using the Busuu Italian course which is much better than Duolingo (according to a couple of people on YouTube). It certainly seems less gimmicky. I started on the website, but have now downloaded the app to my phone.

Doing one of the exercises, it told me off for typing "e" instead of "è". Accents are important, the app told me. I do actually agree, but I hadn't been able to find a way of typing "è" on the phone virtual keyboard. Then after a bit of fiddling, I managed to change the keyboard to Italian. I may live to regret this, but if necessary I can change it back.

The reason for using the app in preference to the website version is that you can speak phrases and it tells you whether you are pronouncing the words correctly.
