So I went to the beach...

I made it to the seaside. G set off walking at 9 a.m. and I started out some time later in the car. I arrived around 11.30 which gave me 30 minutes to walk along the beach before meeting G.

Except that we hadn't checked the tides and the sea was right in!

No sand

Walking along the shingle storm beach is no fun at all, but I did slither down to the water's edge to take the photo before clambering back to the promenade.

But it was lovely to smell the sea and breathe air free from pollen.

The miniature railway hasn't run this year due to the C-19 lockdown. I do hope it will survive as a tourist attraction.

Miniature railway line

So that was our little expedition on the first day we were allowed to travel more than 5 miles from home. Also Wales recorded zero deaths from C-19 yesterday, so though it's been hard, a more strict lockdown than was enforced in England has paid off. Let's hope the levels stay low when the tourists arrive next week.
