She did say that she's now inviting people in, but I explained that I don't want to take any risks, especially if she's inviting people in! Men often suffer worse symptoms than women and I want to protect G if possible. I'm not sure what we'll do when we get to autumn and the weather is colder. I will probably have to revert to keeping in touch with M by phone, especially if there's a second wave.
After seeing M, I walked back through town and was surprised to find it pretty busy. Y Sospan (one of the oldest buildings in the town) have just had a complete refurbishment and have now opened with tables on what is usually their parking spaces. The new gin bar is also open with tables on the pavement and the cafe where we usually meet for our Welsh chat is open for takeaway. I popped into the newsagents (wearing a mask, naturally) to buy a local author's latest book and then into the ironmongers for rubber gloves. The Co-op only ever have small and medium and I have broad hands. I hate struggling in and out of rubber gloves, so always buy large.
