Quick garden update

The forecast said it would rain at 4 p.m. and then it will be wet most of next week. I therefore decided to quickly mow the front grass, even though it wasn't too long, so it would stay looking neat. It also meant that I could tidy the twigs and scattered dry holly leaves left from Thursday's big tree trimming session. The mower is a bit like a vacuum cleaner in that respect.

It took about and hour and the weather wasn't too hot because there's enough cloud to hide the sun, though it's still extremely humid so I needed a shower afterwards.

And then it didn't rain! The weather is so changeable at the moment that it's changing hour by hour. But the job is done and if it stays dry tomorrow, I can do some work on the back garden.

In other news, the Jollof rice and Pirate Stew spices arrived today. I'll see about getting the necessary ingredients on my next shopping trip and then I can try some new meals.
