Finally I stopped procrastinating

I have bitten the bullet and after struggling for months with an ailing desktop and a laptop that is fine for basic tasks but not up to video editing, I have ordered a new computer. The current one is 7 years old and has been used heavily. G's computer is the same age and they were bought together, but because he was teaching full-time, he was out all day and using the college machines whereas I was working from home and using my computer all day every day so it's had more hours of use. I also use more memory and processor intensive software than he does.

I've been putting it off because I know that there will be lots of struggling and swearing as I try to get it set up how I like it. I know that there will be favourite programs that will no longer work, but I also know that it will be better in the long run. ETA is within 4-7 days.
