The gate was locked so they broke down the fence!

I thought I was going to have to post an off-topic photo for two weeks ago, but I realised I did have a shot taken within the right time period and which did more or less fit the theme.

This week's theme is: L is for Lock

This gate into the woods was locked because foresters are working and felling trees. Last time we walked past it was fine. This time someone has broken the fence down to get through!

There was absolutely no need to do this. Firstly there are a couple of other gates into the woods that lead to the parts where they're not felling trees. Secondly, it's a perfectly climbable gate if you really wanted to ignore the warning. Just don't ask me how I know this because an answer might be incriminating but it also might just possibly be the way we left the woods after clearing the fallen tree. :-)
