Finding a quiet time

I did the Friday top-up shop in the Co-op again. Last week I went too early (8.30 a.m.) so I could be back in time to wait in for parcels and it was busy with pupils from the nearby secondary school buying snacks. This week I got caught up with discussing G's latest project (a web site to help people write in Welsh) and so ended up going too late (11.30 a.m.). I had to queue outside for a few minutes because their traffic light system was showing a red light. After a few people came out, they switched the light to green and it wasn't very busy inside, but busier than when I do the big shop at 9.30 a.m. on Tuesdays.

Friday is normally the busiest day because it's the day the livestock market is held. Walking in to the Co-op, the little town was completely gridlocked due to too many buses (3) trying to wait in the main square and preventing a lorry full of sheep from getting through. I was really glad I'd decided to walk in rather than drive.

So next week I must not get distracted and aim for 9.30-10.00 a.m.

G wanted to have lunch out at the cafe in Fairbourne. We'd planned to do this a few weeks ago, but the surveying didn't take as long as we thought it…
