Flu jab achieved!

I had an appointment for a flu vaccination at 4.40 pm precisely. I was told the surgery door would be locked and to tap on the window round the side. I duly turned up a couple of minutes before the time allocated, tapped as instructed on the window which was opened so I could speak to the person inside. I was told to go to the front door and wait for someone to come and open it.

Once I'd been let in, the nurse led me through the waiting room, which now has perspex screens separating the seating areas and surrounding the receptionist's counter. The injection itself took a minute or two and then I was ushered out by a back door.

All very efficient and of course we were all wearing masks throughout.

I was also offered a pneumonia jab, which apprently is a once in a lifetime thing. I declined for now because I think it's best to allow one's body to deal with one thing at a time, but I'll do a bit of research and see whether it would be a good thing to have.
