Zoom meetings all day

Because of covid, out local Quaker meeting is now held on Zoom. We just use the free Zoom. The first 45 minutes is for the silent meeting, which this morning we made sure stretched over 11 a.m. so we could take part in the two minute silence for Remembrance Sunday where we remember those who died in war. Then if we have things to talk about, we leave the meeting and then immediately re-start it to get another free 45 minutes.

Then this afternoon it was the Quaker Area Meeting, again using Zoom. I've discovered that I can crochet or knit during Zoom meetings without anyone noticing. I wouldn't dare do that in a physical meeting. The other advantage of Zoom over a physical meeting is that when it ended shortly before 5 p.m., I just had to walk away from the computer rather than having a 1 hour drive home in the dark.
