The posh houses get the sunshine!

I think I mentioned (possibly in a comment rather than a post) that we live on the dark side of the valley while the big expensive houses are up on the hill opposite.

This photo shows very clearly that we live on the dark and cold side of the valley while some people are lucky enough to get winter sunshine. There was a bit of snow this morning that was soon banished by the sun, except we don't get any direct sunlight at this time of year, so the thin coating of snow is still lying in the garden.

The collapsed tree is in the woodland beyond our garden fences, which is why it's still like that, more than 12 months on.
