First vaccine dose has been achieved!

I had my first covid jab yesterday at lunchtime. The Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccine. By bedtime I was feeling cold and shivery. I huddled round a hot water bottle in bed, feeling too cold to sleep properly, then around 2.30 a.m. I became feverish. My temperature was still slightly raised this morning and I'm having a quiet day, but by lunchtime I was feeling pretty much better and I'm sure I'll be completely back to normal by tomorrow.

The actual vaccination was very quick and efficient. There were plenty of volunteers to indicate where to go and the appointments are timed to the minute, so no waiting around. I nipped into the Co-op afterwards for our usual Friday night pizzas and was home by 12.30 p.m.
