Quick update

A friend on here is talking about spring cleaning and taking stuff to the charity shops. I have moved a few boxes from the conservatory to the garage, but I need to get organised enough to book an appointment at the recycling centre because there's a lot of stuff in the garage then needs to go. I also have a few items that could go on the local Facebook Free-cycle group. I used to be a member of Free-cycle when it was a mailing list, then it folded but I've located the new equivalent. It's good for things that are too big for the charity shop but in good enough condition to pass on to someone else rather than take to the recycling centre.

It's finally raining. We've had a very dry April and all my gardening friends have been praying for rain. I don't mind. I got all the grass cut (front and back) last weekend because rain was forecast for Tuesday. As it happened the rain didn't materialise, but it was good to get it done while it was still reasonably short and therefore easier to cut.

Yesterday I drove to Fairbourne again and finally made it onto the beach. We'd taken the precaution of checking the tide times beforehand, so went late afternoon to catch low tide. I'll post photos tomorrow.

  • Busy morning

G wanted to have lunch out at the cafe in Fairbourne. We'd planned to do this a few weeks ago, but the surveying didn't take as long as we thought it…
