What I bought in May

A Facebook friend who is trying to cut down on expenditure always starts a thread about what they spent money on during the previous month. This is to help keep them accountable. Consumables (food etc) and straight like-for-like replacements don't count. Here's what I posted to the thread:

New walking boots for me and G sneaked in on 30th April, so not a May purchase though they arrived in May, but they were replacements for worn out boots. Other than a few monthly subscriptions, replacement printer ink and food, the only May purchase was a small battery powered reading light so I can read my script when I'm recording voice overs for videos in my improvised sound-deadening recording tent. Only £8 but absolutely perfect for what I needed.
