Mayday. The hawthorn cooperates by producing a few sprigs of May blossom. And I celebrate Mayday and the burgeoning greenery shooting up everywhere in the garden by attempting to hack it back. *g*

So far today (after downloading personal and OU email and posting a few replies) I have removed the final sack of fallen twigs from the front "lawn" and mowed the grass. I''m now just taking a breather before tackling the back. It's not raining at the moment -- in fact quite sunny and hot at intervals -- but the sky is very grey and I don't trust it. I'm sure it will rain before the day is out.
