Water, water everywhere...

After a wet and stormy night, it has finally stopped raining. There is no chance of doing any gardening today because only the tops of the Himalayan Balsam are showing above the flood waters at the bottom of our garden.

A day for doing indoor things, I think.

It must have seemed like good idea at the time...

...but the chap who drove his 4x4 almost to the top of Snowdon is now regretting his foolhardy actions. He's facing prosecution and whatever now happens to his car, it's going to cost him a fortune.

Here's the link to the full story on the BBC page.

Alan Kendall, the general manager of the Snowdon Mountain Railway said there were four options to get it back down.

"It could be winched off by helicopter, broken up and brought down in pieces, ramped onto a flat bed truck and brought down on the railway or driven down," he said.

At the moment, it's still there as they decide what to do and, until the weather clears, it will have to stay there.
