Legal... legal... Illegal! Illegal!

This very silly video made me smile this morning.

Ten illegal things to do in London. Their rules were simple: the action had to be illegal, the law still had to be in force (no shooting Scotsmen in York or Welshmen in Chester) and, most important of all, it had to be silly.

In other news, after teasing us with a hint of spring, winter is back in full force. It is freezing out there and the wind cuts like the proverbial cutting thing. The only plus side is that the washing I've put out on the line should dry pretty quickly.

Update on current projects

1) Over the weekend I have been crocheting squares for a charity scarf knit. I used it as an opportunity to learn and practice a couple of new stitches whilst also using up some ends of balls of yarn. The plan is to knit a really long scarf for Bermo Moai.

Once the scarf has been measured and the winner of the "guess the length" has been announced, the scarf will be re-sewn into blankets for a local animal rescue.

2) I have made a breakthrough with the hooping and can now knee hoop fairly reliably. This trick has only taken 18 months to master. :) I've just been looking at the videos I made of me hooping in September 2011 and I think it's time to make another one so I can see how much I've improved and what I need to work on next.

3) I have just had a letter from the Tax Office to say that I am due a sizeable tax refund. Of course this is because I haven't been earning anything, but at least they'll stop deducting tax from my minuscule pension from now on.
