People killed: 1 (person in hospital died)
Mean things done to characters: Mark has just met a man who could take him home, but Matthew is not going to admit that he could.

OK, I feel better about missing yesterday's writing quota. Friday (according to my slightly revised novel_in_90 targets) is a non-writing day. But I did actually manage to sneak in half an hour at lunch time at work and I've just done a bit more now to make the 765 words. I know that if I hadn't been taking part in novel_in_90, I wouldn't have bothered.

So three cheers for supportive LJ people!
