People killed: hundreds. All good guys so far.
Mean things done to characters: Mark has to watch helplessly while the bad guy decimates the army.

After a slow start, the words started to come. I'm stopping now because I need to make dinner, check in on my online fiction writing students and post some hints and encouragement.

Today I went for a walk. After being very bad about exercise over the winter, I was determined to go out and enjoy the nice weather. There was the first hint of spring in the air: a scent of moist earth under sunshine. I took a few photos of mosses and stuff. Will post them tomorrow, if I get around to it. Not that they're very exciting.

Also, as lots of other people seem to be doing it, I thought I'd walk to Rivendell. So these will be my first miles on the road. I haven't quite worked out how many yet, probably about 4. *g*
