Writing progress -- novel in 90

Words written today: 1274
Total words in novel: 79,323
People killed: 1
Mean things done to characters: Mark has just had to watch his friend die.

Today I was tempted by the Evil One aka the Internal Editor.

"Don't you think you ought to do some world building?" she said.

"La-la-la-la-la! I can't hear you!" I sang back.

"You could perhaps just make some notes on the sort of thing that you need to add during the revision pass?"

"La-la-la-la-la! I have my fingers in my ears!" I replied.

"How about working out the names of the army ranks? Ow! No! Don't hit me! Ow! Ow!"

So I beat the Internal Editor over the head with a wet fish until she shut up -- and then settled down to write a bunch more crappy first draft words. *g*

I will get to the end this time! A plague on the Endless Revision Loop!
