Things one doesn't expect to see #79

When one is driving home late at night in a blizzard, one doesn't expect to come round a blind bend and find a whopping great tractor virtually stationary in the middle of your lane CUTTING THE HEDGE!

Who in their right mind is out at 9.20 pm. In the pitch dark. IN A BLIZZARD. Cutting the hedge?

I did stop and with space to spare and the tyres only squealed a bit. But for heaven's sake, why? Surely a bit of hedge trimming can't be that urgent?

I was a slightly trembly for quite a few miles after that.
