The ups and downs of British weather

I'm still undecided as to whether to go to Cricieth today. It was lovely and sunny again first thing. I looked out of the window to see the bunny from a couple of doors away sitting on the rock outside our front door. I couldn't resist taking another photo.

I managed to eat breakfast al fresco again, but it soon began to spot with rain. I checked the BBC weather page and discovered that we must have had today's weather yesterday because now there was different weather lined up for today. "Light showers" it said. Well, I'm sorry, but this isn't a light shower. The rain was bouncing!

I think I need to read up about lenses because I'm still not 100% confident with the new DSLR. I had a little play for a few minutes and snapped the neighbours gunnera (the giant rhubarby stuff in the background) and wheelbarrow.

And now the weather has dried up again. The grass will be too wet to cut, but I can at least trot into town and buy the local paper, drop in my prescription at the chemists and buy some notebooks ready for the OU Creative Writing course which starts in a few weeks. Some of the materials have appeared online and it's always a good idea to get ahead at the beginning because I always slip behind by about two thirds of the way through.

Or then again, perhaps I'll have an early lunch and go and look at castles after all?
