Field trip last Sunday

Here are some of the photos I took last Sunday while out with G's geology field trip. (I'm not posting the boring ones of rock outcrops!)

View from above Barmouth. This is probably the one I'm most proud of because I saw that view and that gorgeous light and I ended up capturing it as I intended. Often there's an element of luck as to whether something comes out well or not, but I'm at last beginning to feel that I'm getting to grips with the new camera and making it do what I want it to.

After the awful rain, floods and strong winds of Saturday, the weather was much better than we might have expected!

On the way down, we passed some youngsters learning to climb on the Barmouth Slabs, a popular spot with outdoor pursuits groups.

Of course the good weather didn't last. We got rained on about half way round and then there was a mixture of sun and cloud for a while.
