A quiet day

Aimee spent most of the afternoon lying on the worktop next to the slow cooker. It made a really nice little cat radiator, with added delicious smells. :)

Meanwhile, I struggled my way through a first draft of the beginnings of two poems. The question now is, how to end them.

Why are good endings so hard to do?

Other useful things done: I have filled out the form and written the cheque to register for the Diana Wynne Jones conference; I have paid the credit card bill; and I haven't been totally sedentary either as I did do a short walk before dinner, but then probably spoiled it by eating lots of dinner followed by a hot cross bun. This is no way to lose weight.
