I know that feeling only too well. I recall a point in the outline for Moving a Mountain where it just said something like, "Lots of amusing stuff happens as they raise money."
I think some of my other abandoned novels are suffering from the fog problem too.
But I've been using Beth's strategy of plodding recently. I now realise that I used to give up on short stories too quickly, but being forceed to complete them for the course I'm taking means however bad it is, I do finish, and then, so far, I've always found I can make it better.
Right! It's time I got off this computer and went in search of food.
