An unusually social week

I know I still have lots of London photos to post, but I can't stop yawning, so I'm going to say goodnight to the Internet and crochet a bit more shawl before having an early night.

*Looks at clock*

Heavens, is it only ten past eight? It feels much later than that!

That's partly due to the fact that it's pretty gloomy outside. The nights are beginning to draw in noticeably, especially on a night when it's blowing a gale and raining. The big trees at the bottom of the garden are tossing wildly every time there is a big gust.

Anyway, I'm having fun with people this week. Honestly, I can go for weeks without speaking to anyone other than G and then this week I saw my Dad, brother and sister-in-law yesterday, went to play with Brith the lurcher and have tea with his lovely owners today and tomorrow we're off out again to visit a friend who lives about half an hour's drive away in the middle of nowhere.

I had hoped there may have been donkeys to cuddle tomorrow, but sadly the friend we're visiting has had to put off the donkey acquisition due to health problems. But there should be donkeys in due course, and there will be dogs to throw sticks for, so that will be fun.

Here's hoping the weather calms down again by morning.
