Your word for the year

Over on Flickr, a couple of groups I'm in are discussing what word they would choose to sum up their approach to the new year/decade.

My word is going to be "adventure". We didn't travel much last year, only a couple of trips to London and to see family in South Wales, but after waiting for a year to see how the money went after I was made redundant at the end of 2008, we're now planning a trip to Sweden and Latvia.

I also need to be a bit more adventurous with regard to looking for work. I'm tutoring online part-time, but could do with another part-time job to complement it and get me out of the house. I do have some ideas for part-time self-employment, but I need to actually get my act together and put something in motion.

With regard to photography, I need to be more adventurous with regard to subjects. Normally it's landscapes, landscapes and more landscapes, but I fancy trying more animal shots and action photos, also more shots of people.

Anyone else fancy choosing an inspiring word instead of a list of resolutions? What would your word be?
