Today the weather defied all the forecasts and turned out really nice for the geology field trip. (I even got a little sunburned!) Yesterday, the prognosis sounded so dire that I rushed out and bought a new pair of waterproof overtrousers. They weren't wasted, because they kept me cosy, but there was no sign of the promised rain and floods.
The wind was bitingly cold, but the view of Snowdon covered in snow was worth the climb. I'll do a longer blog post tomorrow, but this was probably the prettiest of the pictures.
