I don't remember ever visiting Aberdovey before. It's not all that far from here, but you pass two seaside places on the way to it, so there's not that much incentive to keep driving. But it is supposed to be a nice place and it was on my To Do List as a Place To Visit, but I'd never quite got around to it.
Anyway, yesterday an old friend from my university days was in the area with her family and we arranged to go for a walk together. First we walked up to look at Llyn Barfog (which has, not one, but two legends associated with it!) and then after eating a sandwich in the car, we drove on to Aberdovey where we had a cup of tea and a cake, then walked up to the bandstand to admire the view before wandering along the sea front.
Llyn Barfog. Apparently it has water lilies on it in the summer, but it's too early at the moment.
