Photo-a-day 115/365 Flowering cherry tree


Today we went down to the local playing fields to investigate the soil on the football pitch.

It turned out that there was about 12 inches of nice topsoil, but below that it was clay, really soft and mouldable clay, the sort that you might make pots out of but not the sort of soil to drain well.

On the way back, I snapped this cherry tree by the Gorsedd Circle.
