Another fine day for a field trip

I'm beginning to think that G has done a secret deal with the devil in order to procure nice weather yet again for the geology field trip. This must be a record as we've had a run of fine days. Normally we get soaked.

Setting off up the Roman Steps. This path goes over the Rhinogs to Trawsfynydd (literally "Across the Mountain"). We just headed up for a mile or two and then left the path to examine rocks.

There are wild goats up in the mountains. Normally we see them right up on the top, but today we just caught a glimpse of this nanny goat with her baby. They were down near the car park.

Here is my husband (centre) with two of the students from the geology evening class. Nikki usually brings her two dogs along.

The dogs like to "help" with the field work.

Here they are posing on some convenient rocks.
