This morning I gave the delightful old lady her computer lesson and on the way back I called in the bank to order currency for our holiday next week.
I was a bit worried I'd left it too late because we've recently become spoiled by being able to just get dollars and euros over the counter at the post office. But this holiday requires Swedish krona, Norwegian kroner and Latvian currency. Also some euros, but as I said, they're not the problem.
Anyway, currency is now ordered and it should be available for collection on Thursday afternoon.
The architecture of the bank, by the way, is a very typical Midland Bank, which is what it was before Midland got taken over by HSBC.
