I have picked up the currency I ordered earlier in the week and there are no more clothes left to wash -- oh, no, I tell a lie. I want to wash my jacket.
*Rushes off to put jacket in the washing machine.*
Tomorrow I need to work out what clothes we're taking, iron clothes and pack. We're not setting off until Saturday lunchtime and we're actually staying overnight at a hotel near the airport, so it's a leisurely departure.
What's not so leisurely is the marking. :(
When we booked this holiday, just after Christmas, I hadn't thought to check the dates of the courses I teach. The deadline for the final assignment is midday tomorrow and I'm supposed to mark and return them within two weeks, so I can't leave them all until I get back. I am taking the Eee with me and so I could mark assignments while I'm away, but I'd rather not spend my holiday in Scandinavia working. I am, therefore, pouncing on all the early assignments and I'm turning them round and getting them back at a decent rate. I won't be able to mark all the ones that come in tomorrow when the last minute rush arrives, but I don't mind finishing a few while hanging around the airport waiting for flights. The hotel is supposed to have free wifi, so I can get them back to the online assignment system wherever I happen to be. One of the advantages of teaching online is that I can literally do it anywhere, as long as I have internet access. :)
