We checked out of the hotel in Narvik yesterday morning and after a last wander along the shore of the fjord and a quick look at the 5000 year old life-sized carved elk, we picked up our luggage and headed for the station. The train was about 2 hours late, which meant we arrived in Stockholm 2 hours late this morning. Fortunately, we had allowed plenty of time for the connecting flight, because that had been moved 1 hour earlier! There was a bit of confusion about our booking (the e-ticket said we were flying with SAS and it was actually Air Baltic), but the helpful people at the information and check in desks sorted everything out and we made our flight.
We're now safely esconced in our hotel about 20 minutes walk from the university where the conference is being held. As you can see, the hotel again has wifi, so there may be more brief updates during the week.
Riga is a beautiful and busy city, from what we've seen so far.
