It was a lovely warm late-summer day today and these bright yellow daisies caught my eye as I walked up to give the nice elderly lady her computer lesson.
It was so warm that as I passed the garage, a black cat that I had never seen around there before decided that it would be lovely to sit in the sunshine in the middle of the road.
Fortunately, there were no cars coming and the one waiting to turn onto the road waited while I shooed the cat to the pavement on the other side.
Today B and I were doing changing the ink cartridge and printing of photographs. As B is 92, she has to repeat things more than a younger student would before they'll stick, but the printing was going well until we were interrupted by a call from her friend M that a bird had got into her bedroom. Despite being fond of birds when they are out in the garden on the birdfeeder, M has a horror of them being inside, so B had to rescue the bird and carry it downstairs where it could be released around the back of the house where others of its species hang out. "The sparrows like the front of the house," B said. "These birds like the back."
Bird safely released, the printing resumed and when the time was up, I left B happily finishing the rest on her own.
Oh, I just thought I'd mention that I managed to do the whole of August without missing a single day! :)
