My Christmas was about as quiet as it could get. I spent the morning reading Sherlock Holmes on the iPod and cooking lunch. G is slowly getting over the flu and his appetite returned sufficiently for him to have a proper Christmas lunch. (At one point it looked like I would be having a roast turkey dinner while he would be having pizza.)
After lunch and after speaking to family on the phone, namely: the offspring, my brother and my dad, I settled to watch TV ("Prince Caspian" which I had recorded) while I finished off the two hats I had been knitting. I sewed the seams, tidied away all the loose ends and crocheted the edging and the two flowers. One is for me and the other is for our granddaughter. If hers fits, I'll make another for her from the same pattern but with slightly different colour combinations. If it doesn't fit, I'll make another adjusted up or down in size! :)
Later G joined me on the sofa and we watched the Christmas Doctor Who special followed by "Stranger then Fiction" and, finally, the new version of "Murder on the Orient Express", with David Suchet as Poirot.
So, as I said, quiet in the extreme, but very restful. :)
