Eowyn Challenge -- Isengard to Minas Tirith with Merry and the Rohirrim

Miles travelled today: 2
Miles travelled so far: 4.5 (1668½ from Bag End)
Miles still to go: 573½

Percentage complete: 0.8%

Point reached on journey: We have just passed the pillar of the White Hand. Ents have broken the hand apart.

Where I really went...

I drove to the coast. I thought the car could probably do with some exercise as well as me because it hasn't been driven since before Christmas and has sat through all that horrible cold weather.

It turned out to be a good decision because it was even brighter and sunnier at the seaside and I had a nice walk along the spit at Fairbourne. I had wrapped up well, but it wasn't even all that cold once I started walking. Photos were taken.

The late afternoon light was rather nice today. View taken from some way along the spit at Fairbourne.

You can just see the afternoon train from Pwllheli to Shrewsbury catching the light in the distance.
