Shadows of the gorsedd stones

6/52 for the group 52 in Twenty Eleven

This week's theme was "shadows" and I was beginning to think I might have to do a non-theme shot because the sky has been so overcast that I haven't seen a shadow for days!

Anyway, I glanced out of the window and the evening sun was managing to peep through the cloud, so I grabbed my camera and nipped round to our local playing fields.

These stones are not ancient; they are part of the gorsedd circle which means that the National Eisteddfod was held here once.
