Where I really went...

Somewhere I haven't been before, which considering I was just walking local paths around the town is not easy to do. I was going to walk up the bridleway to the little lane the skirts the foot of Cadair Idris, but there was someone riding a scramble bike up it and so I climbed a stile and went a different way to avoid the noise. This took me to somewhere I had been before, but instead of immediately heading down again, I followed a new path (or new to me at any rate) and ended up with some nice views of the town from a slightly different place. From there is was back down the road into town to buy wine for dinner and thence home.

These sheep were busy eating hay left by the farmer. It will soon be time for them to lamb.

It's amazing what a difference weather and lighting makes. This is more or less the same view taken just over a year ago in January 2010.
